The old chemistry Lab (room 18). The developers have started refurbishment. What is interesting is that the room appears to have had a raised platform at the back and may have been a tiered lecture room. Note the slope along the side wall and the small square window in the end wall - presumably for the projector.

Door at the end leads into a store room - see next photo. The store room was created by putting a partition wall across the room and shortening it by one window. Radiators must have veen resited and eaised. An existing door at the back of the original Chemistry Lab gave access to the store room from the corridor.

When was the partition built? Any thoughts? (at least after the 60s) Also was this room ever tiered? See room 19.
