MESSAGE is from Sam Grant-Richardson. It is with much sadness that I have to report the death of one of your past school friends, my Uncle - Michael (Mitch) Grant. Mitch passed away on Sunday. He had been bravely fighting an illness for a number of years. Many of the old school members will remember Mitch with great fondest and respect, he was Club President, player and Committee member of Long Eaton Rugby Club for a very long time, and gave exceptional service to them. He was also a Councillor for a long time in Long Eaton as well. A great loyal man, who will be sorely missed by many. The funeral arrangements are as follows: Friday 23rd of October at 12:30pm at Bramcote Crematorium, in the Serenity Chapel, all are welcome, please pass this information on to anyone who doesn't have facebook. Heather (his daughter) would also like it for those who played/play rugby to wear their rugby shirts on the day, any questions feel free to message me. The celebration of his life will be taking place afterwards at Long Eaton Rugby Club.
