Charles Donald Forster was Art teacher from ? to 1976 and died from Motor Neurone desease in August 2004.
With his second wife Linda, he moved to Holbrook and set up in 1980 the Gas Light Gallery and workshop making ceramic models.
It says on his gravestone at St Michael's Church, Holbrook: 'Known for his (ceramic models of) Trams, Trains, Toilets and Tart's.
Charles Forster's first wife, Sigrid (Sigi) was a Student Teacher at LEGS in 1963/1964 and maybe stayed a few years teaching German. She came back and married Charles. Sadly, she died tragically whilst suffering from post natal depression a few years later. (1974 or 1975).
Mr Forster lived in Enfield Road, Beeston before moving to Holbrook.
