This picture shows the infant school on the left, the Junior school on the right and the senior school at the back. Yes, it was used as a secondary school and became known as the Grange Secondary Modern School. The pupils who failed the 11-plus attended the Secondary School.

I left in July 1952 and took my first teaching job there in January 1961. I took the post of Infant teacher when Mrs Goodliffe retired. They kept the job open for me until I qualified in December 1960. The Infant staff had all been my teachers when I was a pupil!! Also, Mr Williamson was still the head when I returned.
